Gooey and delicious!
This banana cream caramel pie consists of a shortbread base with a beautiful golden caramel filling with fresh sliced bananas and topped with whipped cream. The shortbread crust is made with flour, sugar, butter and milk and has a delightful crunchy texture. The filling is quite sweet and gooey due to the caramel filling and bananas and provides for a wonderful base to the decadent whipped cream that is used as a topping.
Pro tip: dip the bananas into lemon juice before slicing them lengthwise to prevent them from turning brown and them becoming unappetizing.
