Layers of delicious fun!
A layered cake is always a delectable treat but when a red velvet cake is layered with Oreo cookie dough, said cake goes from delectable to heavenly. The combination of red velvet cake and cream cheese is legendary but this recipe replaces cream cheese with yummy cookie dough and the gamble pays off, once you taste the cake. The brown of the Oreo cookie dough and the red of the cake make the cake very visually appealing.
The topmost layer of the cake has a white chocolate ganache which drizzles down the sides of the cake. The cake is topped with Oreos and chocolate icing making the cake look very beautiful, it is the proverbial icing on the cake(pun intended).

Ingredients:
RED VELVET BLONDIES
1 cup + 2 tbsp salted butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 tsp white vinegar
3 eggs
2 oz red food color
1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/8 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
OREO COOKIE DOUGH
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
3-4 tbsp milk
1 1/2 cups Oreo crumbs
WHITE CHOCOLATE GANACHE
12 oz white chocolate chips, divided
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, divided
CHOCOLATE FROSTING AND TOPPINGS
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tbsp water or milk
7 Oreos
