Delicious Croquembouche

Centerpiece or desert?

Croquembouche, a French desert originating in the nineteenth century has for long been known as something only artists in the kitchen could achieve. This recipe busts that myth. Consisting of multiple layers of beautiful custard filled profiteroles held together with caramelized sugar and wrapped around it is multiple fine strands of pulled sugar, this towering delight will have anyone seeing it asking the question ” Is that a desert or a centerpiece”.

The desert is delicious and easy to make but can go disastrously wrong due to even the slightest miscalculation of quantity or if the wrong ingredients are used .
