The best pumpkin dessert around
Pumpkin is not the first ingredient that comes to mind when you are thinking about making a dessert recipe, but in this pumpkin dreamboat dessert the pumpkin here works amazingly well. The pumpkin may be the primary ingredient in this recipe but this also contains many other outstanding components like the cream cheese layer and the amazing crushed Oreo cookie base. The dessert is truly a sight to behold with its multiple multicolored layers which include the colors; black, orange, and white.
The pumpkin and cream cheese layers sit between the Oreo cookie base and the topmost cool whip layer. The final part of the dessert is the topping of roasted almonds which really brings the dessert together.

1 pkg regular Oreos, finely crushed
6 Tbsp. salted butter, melted
1 pkg {8 oz.} Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. cold milk
1 tub {16 oz.} Cool Whip, divided
2 pkgs {3.4 oz.} instant pumpkin spice pudding mix
3&1/4 cups whole milk, cold
1/3 cup chopped pecans
