  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp instant coffee powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 egg at room temperature
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
For ganache & decorating:
  • 150 ml fresh cream/heavy cream
  • 8 oz/227 g semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tbsp fresh cream/heavy cream
  • chocolate chips, as required
